ANNNNND........ WE ARE OFF TO SEE THE WIZARD........... #11

And we're off to see the wizard the wonderful wizard of all.......

Another Semester is done...... We have come to an end of the another school year. Blogging has made English 102 better by far. Along with writing essays it feels almost unlike an English class to tell you the truth. Our Professor has made this class by far the easiest class to get into. Blogging has been wonderful for me. although there was some assigned blogs the rest were totally my choice. I was able to research and share (BORE...) my classmates into reading what I was into. I mean I know its boring to have to read many rants and raves about something that most people are not really interested in. Although I really do recommend taking this class for those who are not really into being in a boring English class. You have the choice to do it hybrid or being into the class for the whole time. Being able to get out of the constant lecturing and reading the textbook nonstop, you fail to retain a lot of the crucial information that you need to retain. I would not have been able to remember all that I remembered this semester. I was able to get into the class and look forward to writing a blog or the writing projects that I had. It was fun and exciting to look for things to catch your attention. Another plus was that we were more technology based than simple typing it up and printing, we were able to make this our own decorate the page, use pictures, and music even that showed everyone who we are and our personalities.

Entry #10 Christmas

It's that time of year again.....

Christmas is one of my favorite holidays. Not because I get stuff, But because I love being able to see the reactions on my son's and husband's face as they get what they wanted for the past year.

I love the fact that we get to enjoy the day watching Christmas movies and eating junk....

Mostly I love being able to have another excuse to make brownies, cookies, and cupcakes, chocolates, etc.... This year since Nathaniel (my son) is getting big enough to understand the concept of helping me with cookie decorating I am thinking that this year will be the first year that we make gingerbread men, and a gingerbread house. I can wait to see the mess that we will make this year.

Christmas in my house means the Family gets together to see what delicious foods I have made. I make Tamales, Posole, and a bunch of other foods that I don't really make all that often... We pig out, and when we are all too stuffed to do anything else.....
We sit around and laugh and tell jokes, we play video games, we listen to music, and sometimes we even have a few drinks....

Christmas is 18 days away and counting. we usually stay up until midnight on Christmas eve and open up all the gifts then head to bed. When we wake up a few hours later we all enjoy each others company and also the gifts that were given to us.....

Entry #9 The Old Ball and Chain.....

The old Ball and Chain...

Media has made everyone of almost every culture a "POD-Person".

It seems to be an epidemic of mass proportions. Everyone has let New casts become something of a propaganda, when it comes to "reporting" the news. A perfect example of how the news has become disappointing was when a reporter was covering an accident live and a random male passes by and Snapchats his way onto the news. the news report quickly changed from reporting live from blah, blah, blah we have witnessed a tragic accident. Oh look, this young man was Snapchatting himself in the background....
Social Media is the Worst case of how Media is taking over our lives. we no longer do anything without posting it on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc...

They say that pictures are worth a thousand words.... Well what do you think about this one? ^^^ People need to put down all electronic devices and be more aware of what is going on around them. you can't spend your entire life looking like you have your devices permanently glued to your hands......I have to admit I am guilty of also doing this. My phone seems to be something that I can't function without. Although it isn't just a bad thing that we are so electronically involved, because it saves gas, papers, and many other things. Media in my opinion is something that I have come to notice takes up more of my time than I would care to admit. I think that I am gonna try not to continue letting Social Media, and other forms of Media to get in the way of whats going on around me. You only have one chance to enjoy life around you. when you lose a second you can never get that second back in your life, so choose it wisely.

Entry #8 children with colds, a winter wonderland......

Fevers, Coughs, and Sneezing..... Oh My!!!
Its a winter wonderland of colds in Children.......

A child with Fevers, Coughs, and Sneezing is not a happy camper at all. Let's face it. Is anyone?
It's winter time once more and the cold has finally shown itself again. I Am literally running from the car to buildings. Although this time it's not because of the scorching winds, or Blistering heat.

Its cold, cold, cold... And who am I kidding its about the most exercise I get all year because I am running my happy butt from point A to point B, all while not trying to become a Popsicle.

Here come the "Ah-Choos"......

and Boom...
The "Rudolf the red-nose reindeer noses".....
the constant crying...... The involuntary tears that just never seem to stop flowing..... Sniffles.

Every parents Nightmare comes to life in that very moment....
Your child is sick with a cold.
Fits of coughing and sneezing seem to blend night and day...
Endless hours of cuddling and telling them that you are sorry that they have a cold, as they cry nonstop and feel like their worlds are ending. Here is to cough medicine (when they can have it), and chicken noodle soup.... Humidifiers and endless Tissues.... Missing School, Work, and Extra Curricular activities because you can't be out in public....

Never ending rounds to the store to pick up more cold medicine, and the incessant lines in the stores where it always seems to be most busy when someone is in a rush.... Yeah... That's what happens, stock up now before your child gets a cold and be on the safe side. It is always best to be prepared, than get hit with the cold epidemic while you are unprepared. As a parent it is always best to be prepared for anything. Whether it be wipes (wipes are for use on anything and everything when you are a parent), tissues, cold medicine, cuddles, and chicken noodle soup, Hand Sanitizer (BUCKETS, AND BUCKETS OF HAND SANITIZER).
Lysol will become your best friend.....Just saying....(*Hint*Hint*)
Colds are everybody's nightmare, it's a winter wonderland special. With the beautifully cold days and nights, a reprieve from the blistering heat during the rest of the year; we also have the ugly colds/flu season. Its a one way ticket to bed. You become an involuntary Zombie for about a week or so, as your children fight to get back to normal. Only to get sick once they are healthy again. Then its medicine, tissues and so one all over again. Lets face it; hell on earth all over again. Colds becoming the seventh circle of hell for anyone.  so Have a wonderful Winter Everybody!!!!!!
(*NOTE THE SARCASM*)
Well........

Entry #7 dumb men.....

You take one look at the "Dumb men" blog and you see its nothing but fails that men experience....
Think about it.....
Most, and I do mean most men have gone through one experience or another and you have to stop and think about why it is that men have more "epic fails" than females do?
This blog although a little underdeveloped still gets its point across...
Men are just as the title says.... Dumb....Let me clarify MOST men are dumb.. You do have the occasional bright bulb in the lot. The authors blog is full of commercials and pictures that depict men at an unusually low  level of intelligence where society holds the bar for acceptable behavior for men.
You have to stop and think why that is?

It is somewhat funny when you watch the commercials but when you think about it, the men are being humiliated....
Lets take a look at the miller lite commercial. The bartender humiliates the male because he does not order a Miller Lite... What does ordering miller light have to do with the male not being manly enough and the female then challenges his role as a man and humiliates him by saying he is wearing a skirt.
Why can't we all just get along?.......

Entry #6 Reactive Airway (Asthma) in children

Reactive Airway Disease (Asthma) in children...

Reactive Airway Disease is commonly used to diagnose coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath (Mayo clinic). Often Reactive Airway disease is interchangeably used as Asthma because diagnosing children under the age of 6 years of age is not as accurate until after they have turned 6 years of age. This is said because these signs and symptoms may or may not be caused by Asthma. Reactive airway association can sometimes be called "Bronchospasm"  as well. Change in climate (seasons), or pollen can often cause the symptoms to show up. Often times even perfume, colognes, cooking, people smoking is enough to send children into asthma attack. Depending on the severity of the symptoms Albeuterol and steroids will help stop the symptoms and allow the person who is diagnosed, to breathe better, and without difficulty.  http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/asthma/expert-answers/reactive-airway-disease/faq-20058010

Entry # 5 ASU Short Classes

ASU to offer shorter classes????

It should be more cost efficient for students, as well as time efficient says ASU officials.
Will it be ideal for students with children? We are speaking the same amount of work in a fifteen week course all crammed into a seven and a half week course. Ideally each class has two to three homework hours outside of class, which is typically anywhere from one to three hours long depending on the class. Perhaps taking one or two of these classes along with the regular course classes shall help people who want to graduate with a certain degree faster than the traditional way. But, what most people don't understand is that they still have their jobs (for those that work), their families ( parents, children, etc) and their own personal health issues ( for those with health problems). Can a student keep up with the amount of homework and or speed of the courses to get decently approved grades. Maintaining GPA's might be harder, because of the rapid moving classes. As a mother, I want to get my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I like the idea of being able to get done with school and onto my actual career faster for the sake and financial well being of my son, but i also have to think about the amount of time that i will have to dedicate to course work. Will I be able to make the decision to spend less time with my son, so that I can get the courses that I need done faster and in the long run be there for him more than I would be while in school? These shorter courses do have their PRO's and CON's as does everything in life. On the one hand I will be getting my degree done faster and be able to start my career faster. On the other hand however, I will not have the most free time to spend with my son other wise. Weighing the possibilities should take a student like myself some time to come to a decision. However there are students who have the time, some who do not have children or do not have to worry about prioritizing their life as much as a student with family obligations like parenting. Therefore it depends on the person. Would you rather spend a few more hours on coursework and spend less time in the course itself and then in the long run have more time? Or, would you rather spend more time in a course and have less homework, and more time to spend outside of school?
What to do.....What to do......
